Shamari Reed, a multidisciplinary artist currently studying at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), majoring in Illustration with a concentration in Mind, Self, and Behavior (psychology). Their work includes an exploration of art as an educational tool through various artistic practices such as scientific illustration and book illustration. Futhermore, Shamari attaches a narrative element to her work using strategies such as concept design, storyboarding, character design, and textural paintings in order to capture the complexities of human emotion and interaction in a way that allows for other people to actively engage in their artwork, more recently expoloring how programming, interface design, and animation could be used in a similar way.
